Axie Infinity is a blockchain-powered game in which players gather, breed, battle, and trade digital animals known as Axies. It is similar to Pokémon and Tamagotchi in nature. Each Axie, represented by a non-fungible token (NFT), can have a complex mix of over 500 distinct body parts classified as aquatic, beast, bird, bug, plant, and reptile, with varying rarity levels. In the game's 3v3 conflicts, winning teams earn experience points, which may be used to strengthen an Axie's qualities or evolve their parts. Breeding Axies allows players to create unique offspring for use or to be traded on the Axie marketplace. Additionally, the Axie Infinity ecosystem uses its own governance token, Axie Infinity Shards (AXS), which allows holders to vote on key governance matters and impact the allocation of currency in the Axie Community Treasury.
You can view, swap, send and receive AXS tokens directly from your MEW Wallet. To receive your AXS tokens you can send them to your public wallet address. You can then view them in your MEW Wallet by selecting your wallet and selecting the token from the tokens list. You should see the AXS token information page. You can send your AXS tokens in your MEW Wallet by clicking the ‘Send’ button and entering the recipient’s wallet address. To swap your AXS tokens, you can click the ‘Swap’ button and choose which tokens you want to swap to. However, if the ‘Swap’ button is not active you will need to use a DEX to swap your tokens.
